With this Podcast we enter into John Paul II’s theology of the body itself. Again, I recommend that you get hold of his Man and Woman He Created Them, so that you can see for yourself what he has to say. In fact, my course here is only a guide and commentary to help you make your way through the original teaching.
The title of this podcast is “The Beginning”, not because this is the beginning of the course, but because John Paul II takes us back to the real beginning of everything to learn the Creator’s intentions in creating us and the world. The issue immediately at hand is the indissolubility of marriage, and Pope John Paul II wants to take us deeper than the law governing this. He wants to show God the Creator’s intention, not only for marriage, but for us as human beings whom he created in the image of God.
